About The Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team working on our luxury houseboat, delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. This unique role offers the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while providing high-end service in an unforgettable setting. This position is responsible for end-to-end kitchen operations including the preparation and delivery of catering for up to 20 guests onboard along with team members working onboard the vessel.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Execute a first-class menu for our luxury tour, incorporating breakfast, lunch, grazing platters, dinner and dessert, while adding your own unique flair to our existing menu offering that reflects our commitment to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction
· Prepare and present high-quality meals for guests, tailored to dietary preferences and seasonal ingredients
* Carry out all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining the highest hygiene and safety standards
* Work within allocated food costs per head, manage inventory and stock levels within budget, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and ordered as needed
* Collaborate with the onboard team to deliver seamless dining experiences
* Engage with guests to provide a personalised dining experience, taking their feedback and preferences into account
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations, while maintaining compliance records for Food Safety and HACCAP requirements
* Adhere to SOPs, memos and operational procedures relevant to this position and living/working onboard the vessel
About You
We are looking for an individual with prior experience as a Chef in a luxury hospitality environment, preferably on a houseboat, yacht, or similar. You will have strong culinary skills and creativity, with the ability to work autonomously in a kitchen operation alongside a small tight knit team onboard the vessel. You will have effective time management, be able to work effectively under pressure and be flexible/adapt as required to varying guest needs or preferences.
A vital aspect of this role is your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. This position works in a guest facing kitchen, where you will be required to interact and engage with the guests while performing your Chef duties.
Essential requirements for this role include a Commercial Cookery Certificate, Food Handling Supervisor, First Aid, CPR and WA RSA.
All candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as part of the onboarding stage.

This position works "swings" of 10-12 days onboard with 3-4 days off in Broome.
