Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Authorized Prescriber - Medicinal Cannabis, based in Prahran, VIC. The role involves assessing patients for the suitability of medicinal cannabis treatment, writing prescriptions in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate patient records. The professional will collaborate with clinicians, pharmacists, and dispensaries to ensure patients receive the highest quality care. Education and counseling about medicinal cannabis use, side effects, and dosage are also key responsibilities of this role.
Qualifications
Comprehensive understanding of medicinal cannabis treatments, products, and therapeutic applications
Knowledge of local healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and prescription guidelines
Ability to assess patient needs effectively and create personalized treatment plans
Strong written communication and clinical documentation skills
Interpersonal skills to communicate medical guidance clearly and empathetically with patients
Valid medical registration and authorization to prescribe medicinal cannabis
Experience within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is desirable
