As the Nurse/Midwife Clinical Specialist, you will be working in the Healthy under 5 Kids Partnering Families program to provide specialist clinical outreach care to children under 5 years and their families. You'll provide early intervention strategies and education to Population and Primary Health Care staff with afocus on improving the health and wellbeing of children and their families in aculturally appropriatemanner.
The HU 5 KPF program incorporates growth and development assessments, vaccinations, parenting support and advice in age-specific child healthchecks.
About You
You'll be aproactive and culturally responsive clinician, committed to improving child and family health outcomes. To be successful in this role, you'llhave:
* Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible forsame.
* High-level clinical knowledge and skills in Child and Family Health or related field, supported by strong decision-making and problem-solvingskills
* Commitment to alearning culture through clinical guidance andmentoring.
* Ability to travel to remote communities by 4 WD or light aircraft asrequired
* Hold acurrent NT driver's licence (or eligible to obtain) and be confident driving amanual vehicle in regional and remotesettings
