A leading Australian mid-market private equity investor is seeking an Associate to join its high-performing Melbourne team.
The firm has a long track record of partnering with high-quality founder-led businesses and supports management teams to accelerate growth and build outstanding companies.
You will be joining a small, collaborative, and non-hierarchical team with a culture that is supportive, ambitious, and built around smart people who love working closely with businesses.
As an Investment Associate, you will contribute across the full investment lifecycle — from origination and assessment through to execution and portfolio value creation.
You will work closely with senior team members and take on meaningful responsibility from day one.
This role is well suited to analytically strong, commercially minded candidates who are looking to grow into a future investment leader.
This firm recognises that a number of backgrounds can be the foundation to an investing career, so this may be an opportunity for someone who previously thought they could not make the jump.
Ideally you will have 2–4 years' experience in one of the following: Investment Banking, M&A advisory firms, strategy consulting, transaction services, superannuation investment teams or insolvency or restructuring roles with strong transactional exposure.
Candidates must bring strong financial analysis foundations, commercial thinking, and a structured approach to problem solving.
