Executive Leadership Opportunity
Job Summary:
Ports North is seeking a senior executive to lead Corporate Services. The role involves strategic leadership across human resources, communications, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in corporate services or similar environments, with strong capability in people and culture leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership of Corporate Services, including human resources, communications, stakeholder engagement, and government relations.
* Develop and implement people and culture strategies to support a productive, engaged workforce.
* Lead Enterprise Agreement strategy development, negotiations, and implementation.
* Oversee advice on HR policies, organisational development, and enterprise agreement provisions.
* Manage corporate communications, media, public relations, sponsorships, and corporate events.
* Strengthen external affairs and government relationships, representing Ports North at industry, government, and community forums.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and government policies.
* Deliver effective administration systems supporting public enquiries, complaints handling, and information release.
* Promote a strong safety culture and support environmental and risk management practices.
* Contribute to organisational strategy, business planning, and corporate priorities.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven senior leadership experience in corporate services or similar executive environments.
* Strong capability in people and culture leadership, including strategic workforce planning and organisational development.
* Strong understanding of industrial relations frameworks and application of contemporary HR practices.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, engaging at executive, government, and community levels.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and commercial judgement.
