This position is based in the Murray River area of Albury/Wodonga in regional Victoria and is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our business in a challenging and varied role. As a member of the Maintenance Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently maintaining production facilities and equipment to ensure production performance and safe operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Achieving the scheduled work on time, within the planned hours, whilst maintaining a high standard of quality.
* Working to achieve the targets set by the Company.
* Maintaining all plant and equipment in line with the relevant standards.
* Accessing and maintaining the preventative maintenance system as required.
* Performing maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks in line with the Corrective Maintenance Procedure.
* Performing scheduled maintenance tasks during organised shutdown periods.
* Keeping Team Leader/relevant Manager informed of activities that affects the operation, performance of the department and final Customer.
* Liaising with all departments as required to achieve the required objectives, ensuring relevant information is communicated to department personnel as appropriate.
* Ensuring you have the right training, knowledge and tools to perform the tasks required.
* Updating all relevant electrical drawings and schedules as required.
* Ensuring high standards of behaviour, performance, and good working relationships are maintained.
* Supporting our Continuous Improvement implementation by suggesting and initiating improvements.
* Ensuring housekeeping and general working conditions of the work areas are maintained to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have:
* A current "A" Grade Electrical Licence.
* Good communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability transfer knowledge.
* High level of self-motivation, effective time management, ability to work without supervision, positive "can do" attitude, be a team player.
* Competent in the use of computers with relevant software is essential (e.g. Microsoft Excel and Word).
* Comprehensive understanding of written and spoken English.
Well regarded knowledge, skills and experience:
* Experience with Siemens S7 and other programming systems.
* Ability to read and understand complex electrical drawings.
* Experience in testing and fault finding of control systems.
* A relevant Licence to operate an elevated work platform and/or forklift.
* A Confined Space Entry Licence.
