Project Managers 12-month initial casual position Location : based onsite at Millmerran Power Station About the Role As a Project Manager, you will assist the Projects Team in delivering high-priority reliability projects and oversee the development and implementation of major maintenance and capital improvement projects. The role involves Day-shifts with a Monday to Friday 40-hour week roster, though occasional overtime and shift work may be required. Skills & experience Essential: Technical qualifications aligned with project work at Millmerran Power Station. Electrical Skill Set including exposure across: 415V Distribution switchgear Distribution Transformers DC System Replacement Control Equipment (PLC) PLC IBE and AssetCentre Gen and Aux Transformers DCS engineering workstation hardware & software ABB Control Systems Desirable: Engineering qualifications and/or Project Management certification (e.g., PMBOK). Experience with Boiler and Turbine plants. Familiarity with project management processes, asset management principles, and risk assessment procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PI, JD Edwards, and Oracle. Duties & responsibilities Manage assigned projects by reviewing documentation, ordering equipment, coordinating deliveries, carrying out site inspections and coordinating with operations, maintenance and HS&E in the delivery of projects safely, on schedule and within budget. Compile weekly report on the status of the projects under your control stating progress forecast against budget and planned work for the coming week. Updated reports to the Projects Coordinator on the status of assigned projects. Preparation and review of tender documents and quotations. Planning, Inspection and quality control of work by contractors. Managing documentation and drawings. Preparation of project management documentation including project maintenance and capital expenditure approval process. Governance of project document control, event corrective action, work order and purchase order process and status in computer management system. Review outstanding recommendations / actions from event reports. Assisting in developing new proposed projects and /or optimising ongoing projects. Manage resources so that all assigned major maintenance and capital projects are delivered safely and follow management of change processes. Support the site as requested in the utilisation of project approval forms. Support the site as requested in the utilisation of plant modification forms. Ensure project close out forms are completed for each assigned project. Provide and/or review first pass costing as required for all proposed projects. Support the site as requested in identifying and engaging contract resources for non-assigned projects. Support the Projects Coordinator in managing the major maintenance and capital budgets for the site. Preparation of project cost estimates and assist in management of capital budgets.
