We're working with a much-loved Australian brand that stands for quality, authenticity, and modern tailoring. With a loyal customer base and a reputation for excellence, they're now seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee and evolve their in-house manufacturing operations.
This is a leadership opportunity where you'll bring together people, processes, and strategy to ensure garments are delivered to the highest standard-on time and with attention to every detail.
Role Overview
This role is all about ownership-from managing day-to-day workflow through to driving strategic improvements across the production lifecycle. You'll coordinate production planning, guide a dedicated team, and work cross-functionally to ensure manufacturing aligns with business and inventory needs.
You'll also play a key role in ensuring the production process runs efficiently, ethically, and safely while finding smart ways to reduce cost and improve output.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Running daily production operations and managing a skilled team
* Planning schedules and ensuring delivery timelines are met
* Aligning production activities with commercial targets across sales, marketing, and inventory
* Overseeing quality control, equipment use, and compliance with safety standards
* Identifying and actioning areas for process improvement and cost efficiency
* Contributing to product development conversations from a manufacturing perspective
* Building capability across the team through ongoing training and mentoring
* Tracking and reporting on KPIs like output, labour efficiency, and workflow performance
About You
You're a confident, hands-on production leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment. With a sharp eye for process, you know how to juggle deadlines, people, and quality all at once-and you take real pride in delivering premium results.
What you'll bring to the table:
* Solid experience in a production management or supervisory role
* Strong understanding of production workflow, scheduling, and cost control
* A people-first leadership approach with a focus on coaching and team performance
* Confidence working cross-functionally across multiple departments
* Clear, thoughtful communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* A continuous improvement mindset-always looking for better, smarter ways to work
* Background in garment or apparel manufacturing highly regarded, but not essential
