**Job Description**:
**About The Role**
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of a large and complex defence program or programs under one or multiple business lines.
Opportunities to deliver impact in this role include:
- Day to day commercial management of a large and complex Defence sustainment program;
- Provide expert contract and commercial advice on prime and subcontracts to stakeholders;
- Developing, articulating and holding contracting positions based upon the contract terms;
- Develop contracting strategies including the development of methodology to reduce or mitigate program risk, increase cash flow and increase program profitability;
- Identify commercial and contractual issues or opportunities within contracts/subcontracts, and address them in a timely and effective manner;
- Leading or supporting, as appropriate, the development of proposals for new scope and contract changes;
- Leading or supporting contract negotiations, as appropriate, with the customer and key subcontractors in regard to new scope and contract changes; and
- Contributing to the broader commercial and procurement functional initiatives as required.

**About you**
Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives.
**What You'll Bring**
You bring extensive experience in similar commercial roles either;
- Administering, managing and leading commercial aspects of large Government contracts (CASG & ASDEFCON experience beneficial);
- Establishing and administering changes to complex contracts in a multi-disciplinary environment;
- Demonstrated experiencing in managing complex stakeholder engagements and effective relationship building; or
- High level of written and oral communication skills.

**This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to be holding or be able to obtain a Baseline Clearance.**
