The opportunity
Royal Freemasons is seeking experienced and motivated Cooks to join our Monash Gardens team on a casual basis.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with menu plans, dietary guidelines, and individual resident requirements.
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in line with the Food Safety Program.
* Oversee and support Food Services Assistants during meal preparation and service.
* Ensure kitchen equipment and storage areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
* Contribute to a positive dining experience by promoting warmth, respect, and quality.
About You
* Relevant trade qualification or extensive experience as a Cook (aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded).
* Sound understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Requirements
* It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
* All Aged Care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and to receive the Flu-Vaccine; all successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
