Are you a recent accounting graduate ready to launch your career and gain exposure to real-world finance in a complex, global business? Nyrstar Australia is looking for a motivated Graduate Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team and grow into a key contributor to our operations.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in general ledger accounting, month-end processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting our external audit activities. You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain valuable insight into accounting in a multinational industrial environment.
This is a 2 year Limited Tenure on a Monday-Friday roster
What you'll do:
* Assist with month-end close, including preparation and posting of journals.
* Help prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support the coordination of external audits, including gathering required information and assisting with financial statements.
* Perform financial analysis and reporting as required.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes.
* Provide accounting support and advice to internal stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or near completion).
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage time and work independently when required.
* Familiarity with accounting systems (SAP experience an advantage).
* Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
