About the Role
Based in the Physiotherapy Department at Dandenong Hospital (Acute) – join our team in a full‑time ongoing capacity! This role is primarily based on the acute orthopaedic ward, where you’ll work closely with Physiotherapists to support the care and rehabilitation of acute inpatients. You’ll also contribute to multi‑disciplinary care, collaborating with Occupational Therapy to deliver holistic, patient‑centred services.
Responsibilities
- Work with direct supervision to implement therapeutic and related activities, in individual and group settings
- Provide clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals implementing therapy programmes in consultation with the Allied Health Professionals
- Provide non‑clinical assistance to Allied Health professionals, including but not limited to administrative and cleaning duties

About You
The successful candidates will be required to participate in/lead programmes, processes and quality improvement activities as part of our Allied Health Assistant and Physiotherapy teams. You may be responsible for representing the Dandenong AHA team at Monash Health AHA group meetings and will demonstrate excellence in initiative and programme implementation and a commitment to ongoing evaluation and best practice. Communication and working effectively in a team are pivotal to this role.
What you need
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience (full time equivalent)
- Relevant experience working as an AHA in a health care setting preferred
- A current Australian Drivers Licence
