The Grovedale Hotel is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will be required to perform general or specialised cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking duties and/or supervise and train other cooks and kitchen employees.

Task & Responsibilities
As a Chef de Partie working under the supervision of the Sous and Head Chef, you play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of culinary excellence. With a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail, you assist the culinary team in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring each dish is delivered with precision, consistency, and exceptional craftsmanship.
* Produce and assist the daily production within the kitchen to deliver exceptional experience to drive repeat business and achieve financial targets by planning and organising the preparing and cooking of food
* Assist with planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
* Help manage the development of apprentice and/or junior chefs and cooks, supervise and train as required
* Create a wide variety of specialised dishes
* Operating a kitchen where no other qualified cooks are employed
* Maintain food safety records
Oversee that our food is presented to our customers in a timely manner, ensuring freshness and all Food Safety procedures have been followed.
Qualification & Experience
About You
* You have a culinary qualification of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality
* You have 1+ years' experience in a similar role
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task
* Experience supervising staff
* Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Is punctual and able to follow instructions
* Enjoys working as part of a team
* Shares a passion for the hospitality industry
