About the Opportunity
Oncall is a market leader in language services, providing interpreting, translation, transcription, and AI solutions across Australia and internationally. We partner with government, healthcare, and corporate clients to support diverse communities with services that matter.
Based in our South Melbourne Office, the Project Coordinator works within the Translations team and is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of translation and transcription projects with a strong focus on translation technologies. The position involves analysing client requirements, advising on best practices, preparing projects within CAT/TMS environments, and ensuring seamless execution across all stages.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, update and manage translation projects from initiation through to delivery, following established workflows and client‑specific requirements.
* Assign, brief, and support linguists throughout each project, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring capacity aligns with demand.
* Facilitate clear communication and feedback between all stakeholders—including clients, reviewers, translators, and account managers—to ensure smooth delivery and quick issue resolution.
* Review and update internal workflows, ensuring alignment with evolving translation technologies and client requirements.
* Perform quality checks using CAT‑tool QA features (e.g., segment inconsistencies, tag verification, terminology checks).
About You
* Experience in translation project coordination within the language.
* Strong proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., memoQ, SDL Trados) and TMS platforms.
* Degree in Translation and Interpreting, multimedia, IT or an equivalent/relevant degree.
* Qualification as a translator/interpreter is desirable.
* Highly organised, reliable, and able to prioritise competing tasks.
* Tech‑savvy with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Culturally aware and respectful.
