Job Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee existing accounts and develop new business opportunities in scrap metal procurement and delivery.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the State Trading Managers and Account team to contribute to operational safety and drive excellence in customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Account Management: Oversee existing accounts, develop new business opportunities
* Customer Service: Develop rapport with customers, tailor products and services to their specific needs
* Workload Management: Prioritise work demands to manage customer retention and satisfaction
* Negotiation: Negotiate quotes taking into account bespoke customer requirements
* Compliance: Comply with relevant policies and regulations
* Health and Safety: Support the 'Goal Zero' strategy through safe working practices
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to general continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Desirable Experience: Strong experience in sales or account management is desirable
* Industry Knowledge: Experience in the scrap metal recycling industry is desirable
* Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrate ability to influence outcomes with stakeholders
* Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies and safe work practices
* Resilience: A high level of resilience and solutions-focused mindset is required
* Time Management: Time management and project planning skills are essential
* Opportunity Identification: Ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
