Our Finance Department has an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join us, working at our Subiaco Corporate Office on an initial 12-month-contract .
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Operations, this role is responsible for preparing, reporting & analysing management accounts for one of our operations, as well as assisting senior business managers with financial decision making.

Responsibilities
* Manage site month end process, including maintaining cost allocation workbooks, preparation of monthly journals, maintaining the fixed asset register and GL reconciliations.
* Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial and management reporting and analysis to support multiple business units.
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts and life of mine plans, ensuring accurate inputs and analysis of results as required.
* Assist with the Anaplan budgeting tool implementation and ongoing adoption; work closely with site staff and the planning team to enable a smooth rollout.
* Facilitate monthly cost reviews with respective department Managers.
* Work closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight critical to decision-making, including opportunities for cost and other operational efficiencies.
* Assist with audits over half and full year reporting periods.
* Identify improvements and streamlining opportunities in systems, processes and controls, and implement appropriate solutions.
* Ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as monthly site visits (minimum 4 days per month).
Qualifications & Experience
* A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent, along with CA or CPA accreditation.
* Significant experience in a similar role, with at least one year post CA / CPA qualification experience, ideally within the Mining or Resources Industry.
* A background in auditing would be highly regarded.
* Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, engage, influence & build strong relationships across your remit.
* Strong computer literacy across the MS Office Suite, with experience using Pronto; familiarity with Anaplan or a planning system would be highly regarded.
