Our client is a boutique suburban accounting firm located in Gladstone, well known for supporting the local business community and regional families. With a strong client base made up of small businesses, trades, primary producers, and individual tax clients, the firm provides a full range of services including bookkeeping, BAS, tax updates and compliance support. Operating in a professional yet down-to-earth environment, the practice has deep ties to Gladstone\'s business and agricultural sectors, offering accountants the chance to build meaningful relationships with clients whilst enjoying the benefits of working locally.
They are now seeking a part-time Junior or Intermediate Accountant to join their supportive team. The role involves working directly with individual tax clients (including face-to-face interviews), preparing BAS and bookkeeping tasks and assisting with compliance requirements. The position is part-time across 2-3 days per week, ideally Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays, with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.
Qualifications
Some prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping (public practice preferred but not essential)
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero
Responsibilities
Work directly with individual tax clients, including face-to-face interviews
Prepare BAS and perform bookkeeping tasks
Assist with compliance requirements
Work arrangement
Part-time across 2-3 days per week, ideally Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.
