Job Title: Senior Clinician

We are looking for a highly skilled senior clinician to deliver exceptional community assessment and treatment services to individuals in the acute phase of their mental illness and/or alcohol and other drug (AOD) use.
* This role requires experience in acute mental health and AOD assessment and treatment, with a strong focus on providing leadership in service development and day-to-day operations.
* The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced clinical skills in assessing and treating people with acute mental health and substance use disorders in a community setting.
As a senior clinician, you will be responsible for driving the ongoing growth and development of the acute intervention service, including strategic planning and operational management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertaking assessments rated by Triage as Category B (CAT B) or Category C (CAT C) for the 12-65 age range.
* Providing brief intervention to consumers requiring tertiary mental health treatment for up to a maximum of 28 days where consumers are in an acute phase of their illness, are not otherwise engaged with community mental health services, and are aged 16-65.
* Providing ED post-follow-up phone calls to consumers who have left the Emergency Department after assessment and are not referred to other tertiary mental health services.
