About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and proactive Aged Care Support Workers - Community to provide person-centered care to older adults, supporting them to maintain their independence and remain safely in their homes.
This role involves assisting with:
- Daily living activities
- Personal care
- Domestic tasks
- Transport
- Social support
You will make a tangible difference in the lives of clients, treating them with dignity and empowering them to live fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Domestic Assistance: Light household tasks, meal preparation, shopping, and errands.
- Personal Care: Hygiene assistance, mobility support, and medication supervision.
- Social Support: Companionship, community activities, and reducing social isolation.
- Transport: Assisting clients with appointments and errands.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Observing and documenting client well-being and following care plans.
Skills and Experience
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Home and Community Services, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent.
- Experience: Relevant experience in aged or community care.
- Licenses: Current Driver’s License and First Aid Certificate.
- Attributes: Empathy, strong communication, and a commitment to person-centered care.
- Compliance Requirements
- Current Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Evidence of immunizations, including COVID-19.
Other Requirements:
- The ability to work hours across a set roster.
- A driving license and access to a car (Essential) and willingness to travel
- Right to work in Australia
- Accredited First Aid and CPR training
