About the role
We are growing and so are looking for a talented person to join us as an Accountant. The role sits within the Finance Department and reports directly to the APAC Finance Controller. This is a permanent full time role.
The primary purpose of the Accountant role is to perform all accounting tasks for a subset of entities within the APAC region, processing and accounting for employee related claims, bank reconciliations for all PHI APAC entities' bank accounts, cash flow forecasting / reporting to PHI Group.
The role will also support and be back up to Senior Management Accountants for APAC entities and assist with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts of the APAC legal entities.
Responsibilities of the role include:
1. Accounting for a small number of entities within the APAC region
2. Preparation of daily bank reconciliations
3. Preparation of the daily cashflow report for the Corporate Office
4. Assist with Treasury management for APAC entities
5. Back up to Senior Management Accountants for other entities in the APAC region and support for monthend processes.
6. Supporting the Payroll Manager with verification and accounting for employee expense / claims
7. Responsible for/assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts for the APAC legal entities
8. Assist FP&A with the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecasts
9. Assist with annual audits for all entities
10. Other tasks as directed by the APAC Financial Controller from time to time.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
11. The person will ideally have a hands-on background in finance or accounting department in a sizeable corporate/accounting entity.
12. Alternatively, 2+ years audit experience in a professional services firm within the audit / accounting divisions
13. CA/CPA qualification would be a plus
