About the Role
An opportunity exists for a teacher aide to join our passionate teaching team. The position will involve working with students in Prep.
Term time - commencing in March and continuing until December
This is a personally rewarding role where you will support students in the School.
You will
* Work closely with the students on managing the day-to-day routines and supporting student learning and development
* Support students in their development of transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Maintain relevant notes highlighting strategies used to support the students.
* Create positive, professional and genuine relationships with staff members, students and their families
* Have a high level of initiative and motivation whilst being professional, proactive, and flexible
About You
You will have
* Previous experience as a teacher aide with demonstrated skills to support students with learning needs.
* Minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in School Based Education Support. A Diploma in Education Studies (highly desirable)
* A current paid Working with Children Blue Card
* Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates and experience working with students with medical conditions
* Current Child Protection training or willingness to obtain
