Remuneration: $159, $162,504.94 per annum

What you'll be doing

As Deputy Director of Nursing, you will provide professional and operational nursing leadership across Mount Druitt Hospital, supporting the Director of Nursing and Midwifery to deliver safe, high quality services.

* Lead operational and professional nursing management across the hospital
* Drive clinical governance, risk management and accreditation readiness
* Build and manage a sustainable nursing workforce including rostering and skill mix
* Lead service planning, resource management and budget recommendations
* Foster a positive, accountable culture focused on quality improvement and person-centred care

Essential Criteria

* Registration in line with Award requirements: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

* Demonstrated experience working with senior executives, clinicians and managers within a large complex environment, with a proven track record in building rapport and establishing trust.
* Extensive experience in leadership and management within a health care setting at a senior management level, with relevant post graduate qualifications in health service management or working towards.
* Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to empower, motivate and manage employees to achieve service and professional goals through quality improvement and change management principles.
* Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of evidence based best practice and contemporary model of care within the nursing service.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and lead the financial resources and nursing workforce requirements in a complex environment within industrial frameworks and organisational guidelines to provide safe, quality care that is culturally responsive.
* Demonstrative highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy, analytical and conceptual skills.
* Valid unrestricted drivers' license.
