Support Worker Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist clients with acquired spinal cord injuries in their homes.
* Responsibilities include transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists as required
* Grooming, bathing, dressing and dental hygiene
* Personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management
* Basic wound care and self medication
* Domestic support (meal preparation, household duties and laundry)
* Community access (driving to appointments and social activities)
Requirements
* An excellent listener and communicator is essential
* A fixed fortnightly roster will be implemented
* A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle are mandatory
* NDIS Workers Screening and Blue Cards are also required
