After School Club Teacher
We have an exciting opportunity for a After School Club Teacher to join our forward-thinking business.

This is a temporary, term time only position.
Working Hours: Thursday between 2.30-4.30pm.
All sessions are pre-planned and all required resources are supplied. Teachers are paid per session (1 hour delivery) and most clubs run for 8-10 sessions per term. Contracts are short term so bookings can be balanced with other study and work commitments.
The role
You will be running educational, hands on after school clubs for children which run for 1 hour after school. You will be provided with all equipment for the session along with online tutorials on how to construct the exciting projects. The children will be working with kits that build a variety of exciting items such as torches, air rockets and balloon powered cars; mixing slime or working with circuits.
Responsibilities
* Setting up and introducing the project in a positive and exciting manner
* Ensuring safeguarding policies are followed
* Briefly explaining the learning principles involved in the project (this information will be supplied on the session plan)
* Demonstrating how to construct the project and helping children to make their own
* Listening and talking to individual children, helping and guiding them through the project
* Retaining a sense of humour in times of chaos!
* Listening to parents and welcoming newcomers
About you
* Previous experience of working with PRIMARY aged children essential!

About STEM TECH CLUB
STEM TECH CLUB run before and after school clubs for primary school children. We operate all over Australia and employ presenters from a wide variety of backgrounds. Running STEM TECH clubs allows the presenter to build up their experience with different groups of children in education settings, but have the security of knowing that the sessions are pre-planned and all activities are tried and tested.
