WML Consultants is an established engineering consulting company specialising in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Pavement Engineering, with over 30 years in business. Our offices in Perth, Bunbury and Kalgoorlie support projects across Western Australia.
We are seeking a Junior Administration Officer to join our Perth office. This is an entry level role and a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in a professional office environment.
This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working with documents, written communication and supporting a busy professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and Office Support
* Answer and direct incoming phone calls
* Greet visitors and assist with enquiries
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier bookings
* Assist staff with general administrative requests
General Administration
* Filing, scanning and maintaining office records
* Maintaining document registers and filing systems
* Assisting with office supplies and general office organisation
* Running occasional errands such as collecting supplies or delivering documents
Document Formatting and Support
* Formatting reports, letters and documents to WML standards
* Assisting engineers with report preparation and submission checks
* Proofreading documents for spelling, grammar and consistency
Computer Skills
* Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Basic document formatting and spreadsheet entry
* Exposure to Adobe InDesign or similar layout software is helpful but not essential
While this is an administration role, WML encourages staff to develop additional skills and interests within the business.

Relevant studies in Business Administration, Communications, English or Marketing are beneficial but not required.

Geotechnical & Pavements Group
Success above ground requires knowing what lies beneath. Our Geotechnical Group combines extensive soils knowledge and comprehensive data analysis to provide sound site development solutions across the state. The team also offers materials sourcing as part of our comprehensive pavement and surfacing design capabilities.
Structural Group
Our structures team offers extensive experience designing with steel, reinforced concrete, timber and other less common materials. They specialise in providing customised building solutions that deliver value for money.
