Somerville & Merrin Optometrists is an independent optometry practice, established in 1999 with two locations in Toowoomba. We have built a reputation for providing high quality eye care for our patients.
Our practice specializes in Behavioural Optometry, Orthokeratology Contact Lenses, Dry Eye Treatments and Ocular Disease Management.
We are currently offering an exciting opportunity to join our team in the role of receptionist / Optical Assistant, starting in a part-time/casual position up to 12 hours per week but these hours will increase when covering holiday and personal leave for our staff.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This is a part time/casual position suitable for someone who is motivated and has a passion for helping others and is dedicated to providing top quality customer service.
- Provide frame styling and lens advice to our patients
- Enjoy a diverse role with direct customer contact
- General practice activities including bookings, administration duties, frame adjustments and repairs
- Available to work Saturdays
- Ability to work across both practices, initially at our Hume St location

- Problem solving skills
A background in optical/medical or retail/fashion would be an advantage but inot essential. What is important for this role is a passion for helping others, confidence in working with all age groups and good communication skills to work with our team.
