Job Description
We are now looking for a Global Payroll Manager who will lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of global payroll processes, statutory requirements, and the ability to manage complex systems integrations between HR, Finance, and third-party platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in the implantation of a new time management system, standardising processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do:
* Manage global payroll across multiple regions, ensuring accurate, compliant, and on-time delivery every cycle
* Own payroll accuracy, timeliness, and accountability across all jurisdictions
* Lead payroll systems integrations, including implementation, data migration, and alignment between BambooHR, Genesys, and payroll platforms
* Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure consistent data flow, accurate employee records, and clean handoffs
* Establish and maintain standardised payroll processes compliant with tax, superannuation, award, and labour regulations
* Manage third‑party payroll vendors and ensure service levels and contractual obligations are met
* Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity, process efficiency, and compliance readiness
* Deliver payroll insights, reporting, and analysis to support financial and workforce decision‑making
* Complete end‑of‑month payroll activities, including gross‑to‑net reconciliations and journal postings
* Continuously strengthen control frameworks, automate risk‑prone processes, and mentor the payroll team to lift capability and consistency
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience running end‑to‑end payroll across multiple countries and regions
* Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance, including tax, superannuation, awards, and local labour laws
* Hands‑on experience of launching and integrating payroll systems
* A track record of delivering accurate, on‑time payroll in complex, fast‑moving environments
* Experience partnering closely with Finance, HR, and IT to keep data clean and processes aligned
* Confidence managing external payroll providers and holding them accountable to SLAs
* Solid audit and control mindset, with experience preparing for and supporting payroll audits
* Strong reconciliation skills, including gross‑to‑net, journals, and month‑end reporting
* Ability to use payroll data and reporting to spot issues, manage risk, and inform business decisions
* People leadership experience, with the ability to coach and uplift capabilityof a high‑trust payroll team
