About the Role:
Reporting to The National Training Manager, and primarily based out of our Somerton training facility, the key function of the Aftersales Technical Trainer / Content Developer is to support the dealer network through the delivery of training courses. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that dealership personnel and service technicians are well equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively handle technical issues after vehicles have been sold.
This role involves delivering training programs that cover a range of topics, including the latest automotive technologies, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
•Deliver training courses on vehicles systems, diagnostics, repair techniques and new technologies.
•Conduct classroom, virtual and hands-on workshops at our Somerton based training facility.
•Conduct Train the Trainer (TTT) programs for personnel.
•Provide expert-level technical support to dealerships and technicians
•Assist with diagnosing complex vehicle issues during training sessions or when escalated by dealers.
•Assisting with the development of Instructor Led Training Programs, Web Based Training Programs and training aids to support technical training programs
•Provide recommendations for future training strategies
•Build strong relationships with dealership teams to identify training needs.
•Provide mentoring and support services to students
•Prepare reports on training impact and areas for improvement.
Skills and Experience:
•Relevant mechanical or electrical trade/qualification
•TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
•Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills.
•Working with children check
•Experience as an automotive technician or in a similar technical role.
•Advanced knowledge or vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, HVAC, hybrid etc.)
•Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment and software.
•Familiarity with e-learning platforms, virtual training tools, Microsoft office suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
•A current drivers’ licence
