What's required to do the role?
This position is part time and based at our Brisbane (Lutwyche) office.
The Office Assistant will be responsible for carrying out general clerical tasks to support the care services programs, as well as support reception with incoming calls and duties. The ability to communicate in the Italian or another language is beneficial to ensure effective communication with the majority of the organisation's clients.
* Carry out clerical tasks required to support Co.As.It. programs.
* Manage staff uniform requirements and processing orders
* Maintenance of stationary and other office/marketing stock
* Support reception with incoming calls, transferring calls and recording messages as required
* Arrange catering and provide assistance with function requirements
* Assist with mail-outs and other general office duties
What you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar position with the aged care and/or disability sector
* Excellent and bubbly phone manner
* High level of communications skills
* Ability to communicate fluently in English and Italian or another language
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Ability to plan and show initiative
* Confidence in dealing with clients and enquiries
* High proficiency in computer skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
* Flexible and can-do attitude
* Own car and current driver's licence
* Permanent Residency Status
* National Police Check issued by the Australian Federal Police
