Project Officer Job Description
This role plays a vital part in supporting the delivery of capital works and maintenance programs, within the Program Management Unit (PMU) of Asset Services.
The PMU team is responsible for financial management and performance reporting for asset management programs. This includes providing strategic advice and guidance to ensure effective project outcomes.
* As Project Officer, you will provide administrative support to asset management committees at both State and Region/Branch level.
* You will participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and continuously improve strategies and systems for asset management in protected areas, state forests, and marine parks.
* You will assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to the management of assets in protected areas, state forests, and marine parks.
* You will assist the Unit Manager to represent the Department at industry forums, interdepartmental, and other committees.
* You will prepare briefings, reports, minutes, recommendations, and correspondence and answer inquiries on asset management issues.
* You will provide general administrative support to the unit, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

Key Responsibilities:
Asset Management
* Develop and implement asset management strategies and systems for protected areas, state forests, and marine parks.
* Provide advice and assistance to regional staff, other department staff, and external stakeholders on asset management issues.
Administrative Support
* Assist in the development of policies and operating procedures relating to the management of assets in protected areas, state forests, and marine parks.
* Prepare briefings, reports, minutes, recommendations, and correspondence and answer inquiries on asset management issues.
Communication
* Represent the Department at industry forums, interdepartmental, and other committees.
* Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
