Your New Role and Responsibilities

Leidos Australia is seeking a skilled Storage Engineer to join our GEOSPACES program, delivering advanced national security technology solutions in a secure, high-compliance environment. Your role will primarily involve the support and maintenance of a large enterprise storage environment spanning multiple locations across Australia and internationally.

This role includes administering and optimising storage solutions, tuning system performance, managing system-wide software installations, maintaining capacity and supporting both storage hardware and software. You will provide input into policies, procedures and SOPs for operational storage infrastructure, working closely with users and technical subject‐matter experts to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.

* Manage, maintain and support the operational requirements of storage infrastructure and data protection systems, ensuring reliability and compliance.
* Design, implement and administer new storage infrastructure installations, including firmware and software upgrades for systems such as NetApp, Hitachi and CommVault.
* Perform data restore activities, troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions to problems of varying scope and complexity.
* Monitor and report on capacity usage, analyse relevant documentation and contribute to IT support process and policy development.
* Ensure adherence to security requirements, processes and procedures, delivering high-quality IT support services that meet regulatory and technical standards.
What You'll Bring to Make an Impact
* Relevant certifications or professional memberships for NetApp and Hitachi storage systems, with substantial hands‐on experience in large‐scale enterprise storage environments.
* Proven expertise administering, configuring and managing large-scale storage and data protection solutions using NetApp, Hitachi and CommVault technologies.
* Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment, preferably within similar industries or large enterprise environment.
* Strong technical knowledge across software, systems, enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering and interface protocols, with practical application in complex IT infrastructures.
* Demonstrated experience using AQUIM and other tools to support storage infrastructure management, optimisation and operational efficiency.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
