Support Role for Elderly Clients
We are seeking a qualified support worker to provide assistance to our elderly clients in the Tweed Heads area.
This part-time role offers flexible hours, allowing you to gain valuable experience in the sector while providing quality care to vulnerable individuals.
The successful candidate will assist with daily tasks such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene, as well as household assistance, transportation, and social engagement.
* Personal Care: Assist clients with daily tasks to ensure their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
* Household Assistance: Support clients with cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks.
* Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, and social activities.
* Social Engagement: Foster social interaction and provide companionship to improve clients' quality of life.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Effective communication skills
* An empathic and caring approach
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
* Access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
* Strong planning and organizational skills
* Competency with smartphones/tablets or willingness to learn
* Physical fitness for manual handling and extended periods of standing/sitting
