Job Description
Mahi Mahi, part of the Belmondos Group, is a busy fish and chip shop on Hastings Street, Noosa, also known for our fresh donburi-style bowls. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fish & Chip Grill Chef to join our kitchen team and help maintain high standards across service and preparation.
As part of the Belmondos Group, you will have the support of highly trained chefs across our attached restaurants, providing strong professional backing and opportunities for skill development.

Key Responsibilities
* Grilling, frying, and food preparation in a high-volume fish and chip environment
* Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
* Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, and keeping an organised, efficient kitchen
* Supporting daily kitchen operations and service flow
* Motivating and training junior kitchen staff
* Ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and strict adherence to food safety standards
* Assisting with menu development and the creation of new dishes and bowl concepts
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a grill chef or fish and chip chef in fast-paced kitchens
* Strong experience working with seafood
* Leadership and communication skills
* Confident, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
* Interest or experience in Japanese cuisine (highly regarded)
Availability & Commitment
* Minimum 35 hours per week
* Availability to suit business needs
* Reliability is essential, particularly during the busy Spring/Summer period
* Early starts required on some days (from 8am) for daily preparation
Employment Details
* Job Type: Casual
* Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour + penalties (based on experience)
