Psychologist / Behaviour Support Practitioner
Healthstyles Clinic is seeking another dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner / Psychologist to join our Tasmanian owned and operated team! If you're seeking a change away from just being a number in a large organisation and want to be known, appreciated and supported, Healthstyles Clinic is the answer.
Our team of BSPs, psychologists and administrators have been working with the Tasmanian community for nearly 30 years. We're on the ground and able to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of our participants.
We are seeking a clinical practitioner to provide general therapy and Positive Behaviour Support to our participants. Whether you're a registered or provisional Psychologist, or even if you are considering a career in Psychology and have experience in Behaviour Support, we'd love to have a chat.
What is the role?
Our practitioners work with a variety of stakeholders to understand participant's situations and support them to achieve their goals through implementing evidence-based positive behaviour support plans.
We work closely with families and support services to implement and review plans and strategies, and can achieve great job satisfaction by having a positive impact on our participants and their supports.
The successful candidate will also be able to provide other general therapy services to our clients based on the qualifications and skills they bring to the role.
What can you bring to the role?
We are seeking practitioners who will commit to their participants - to being reliable, proactive stakeholders able to deliver evidence-based and practical strategies to support the needs and goals of our participants. You need to be comfortable working independently, knowing you're well supported by our clinical lead, and you need to be able to deliver client-focused work in line with our KPI requirements.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:
Experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or other highly relevant clinical therapy work, and an NDIS Practitioner number
Experience working with people with disability, their families and supports in a meaningful way
Strong observational, research and communication skills
Relevant degree qualifications and a current working with vulnerable people registration
What's on offer?
Healthstyles Clinic values flexibility and committed staff. We work remotely in Hobart but touch base with the teams in the North & North West regularly. You can manage your own hours and schedule, and we offer great flexibility to work remotely.
We offer a strong emphasis on training and ample opportunity for professional development and growth, with a competitive salary on offer, dependent on experience.
