About the role:
* Facilitate, lead and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets
* Actively promote safe behaviour within the team and manage safety at the worksite
* Implement strategies to minimise the risk of safety incidents
* Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specifications as required
* Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop new work practices
* Responsible for taking team out to the worksite and completing scheduled tasks
* Ensure the team is completing required tasks safely and on time
* Report on work performed to supervisors
* Travel across network as required to support other teams during system closures
* Very hands on role, knowledge and experience in the rail industry is essential
About you:
* Demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry Experience & Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Essential)
* Current Drivers Licence – MR Class or above (Essential)
* Machine tickets Bobcat, Excavator or Loader (highly regarded)
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
* Exceptional leadership skills and ability to lead diverse workgroups
* Extensive knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
