About the role
JOB TITLE: Export Operations
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
LOCATION: Port of Brisbane
SALARY: From $77K to $85K
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The export operator is responsible for coordinating and managing international export shipments via both sea and air freight. This role ensures end-to-end execution of export consignments in compliance with customer requirements, carrier schedules, and regulatory obligations, while delivering high levels of customer service.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications: Driver's license, Bachelor's Degree (desirable)
Experience: 2 years' experience in logistics, supply chain or freight forwarding
Skills:
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and Adobe knowledge
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Able to meet deadlines and work within strict timeframes
* Expedient software experience (desirable)
* Knowledge of export documentation and procedures
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of incoterms and international trade practices
* Experience dealing with overseas agents and international clients
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
* Act as primary point of contact for export customers and maintain a productive relationship with clients
* Ensure all processes are followed correctly in line with standard export regulations and biosecurity requirements
* Documentation accuracy, customer satisfaction and retention plus on time-shipment execution
* Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experience
