Key responsibilities
* Customer Service: Bring your friendly personality to ensure all customers are greeted warmly and provide guidance to the store's areas and inform of any specials. Also provide guidance and assistance to those who are donating items and to clients seeking social support.
* Displays and merchandising: With the guidance of the store manager, price items and ensure they are displayed attractively and safely. Bring your attention to detail to ensure thoroughfares are clear, and floors and displays are clean and fresh.
* Team work: Assist the point of sale team by helping customers carry their items to the sales counter where required. Assist the donation sorting team by bringing donations to the sorting area. Bring along your ideas, suggestions and concerns to the regular team meetings and join in on celebrations and special occasions.
Qualifications and skills
* Experience in retail, sales and customer service preferred but not mandatory as volunteers are always supported with on the job training.
* Required to fully complete TSA mission volunteer induction, training and registration process.

As agreed with manager.

* The Salvation Army is a child safe organisation and is committed to protecting children and young people from harm. All child related roles will require the successful completion of a Working with Children Check.
* Additionally, certain volunteer roles may require a National Police Check.
