The Role
Set in the heart of Port Hedland's dynamic coastal and industrial landscape, this is a hands‑on role supporting a high‑activity tourist and workforce accommodation park. With 72 cabins, 60 sites, 44 work‑stay units and a tight‑knit permanent community, the park is a busy operational hub that caters to both corporate clients and travelling guests.
As Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in keeping the park running at its best by ensuring facilities are well maintained, assets are cared for and guests receive reliable, friendly service. This is an active, high‑occupancy environment where you'll be out on the ground supporting daily operations, responding to the needs of the park and helping create a positive experience for all visitors.

What You'll Be Doing
Oversee day-to-day maintenance across cabins, grounds, utilities, and park facilities
Coordinate asset management, preventative maintenance schedules, and contractor engagement
Support the Park Manager with operational tasks and on-site leadership
Assist with guest relations and problem-solving when needed
Maintain compliance, safety standards, and high-quality presentation of all areas
Help ensure smooth operations during a busy, high‑occupancy environment
What You'll Need
Strong maintenance and asset management background – essential
Proven leadership experience in tourism, accommodation, or related fields
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Hands‑on, solutions-focused attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting
Willingness to learn administrative and management processes
Reliability and flexibility to meet operational needs (5/2 roster)
A valid driver's license and willingness to live onsite
Before receiving a job offer, candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance. Additionally, a valid Working with Children's Check specific to the state is required.
This role may require heavy lifting (up to 20kg), kneeling, squatting, and working with chemicals and machinery.
