About The Role

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work with diverse client populations, including those with developmental and mental health-related issues. Our team conducts a range of assessments, such as early childhood developmental assessment, FASD assessment, ASD assessment, psychosocial assessment, behavioural assessment, parenting capacity assessment, dementia assessment, and forensic assessment.

The use of assessments relating to learning difficulties, executive functioning, depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc., are also utilised as appropriate. You will provide psychological intervention, therapy, and behaviour support services using individual, family-based, and service system interventions.

We work with clients from various backgrounds, including NDIS and Territory Families funded cases, as well as individuals with developmental trauma, disability, neurodevelopmental disorders, traumatic brain injury, and mental health issues.

In addition to our Darwin office base, we offer opportunities to work regionally (e.g., Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities. This presents an exciting opportunity to experience Australia's unique landscapes while doing impactful and interesting work.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand client needs
* Develop and implement effective intervention plans
* Provide therapy and behaviour support services
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in Psychology is essential, with registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Experience: You will need to have experience working with clients with complex needs, particularly those with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues, and/or experiences of trauma.

Skills: Strong assessment and intervention skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
