**Catchment Assessment Officer - NSW Government**
A Catchment Assessment Officer is required by a NSW Government department on a 3-month contract with hybrid working arrangements.
- **Pay Rate: $66.73 - $70.06 per hour + Super**:

**Primary Purpose of the Role**:
As the Catchment Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out technically robust & timely assessments as well as providing recommendations in relation to the regulatory role in the Sydney drinking water catchment. You will also provide expert advice on State significant developments & infrastructure within the catchment including on stormwater & wastewater management.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Provide specialist water quality input to the development of assessment tools, guidelines, current recommended practices & standards
- Provide expert advice on proposals external to the organisation including State significant developments & infrastructure proposed within the declared catchment area
**About You**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a related discipline e.g. Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning etc.
- Experience in Development Application & Assessment processes
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
- Strong working knowledge of water quality impact assessments & management
