Introduction:
Are you a motivated leader who values person-centred support and wants to help people stay connected to their community? Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Transport Coordinator to join our Living Well Program.
About the Role:
At CRCS, we don’t just provide services – we empower individuals to live with independence, dignity and connection to their community. As Transport Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and coordinating transport services that support older people, people living with disability, and those requiring transport to medical care for short-term or chronic health conditions.
You will lead and support a team of Community Transport Drivers while overseeing the administration, systems, fleet management and service delivery of the program. This role ensures participants receive high-quality, person-centred support that helps them achieve their social, wellbeing, medical and community participation goals.
Participants access the Community Transport Service through programs including the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Community Assistance and Temporary Support (CATS), the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Chronic Health Conditions Transport, Community Bus services and fee-for-service transport. You will work collaboratively with participants, advocates, colleagues and stakeholders to ensure services are delivered on time – every time.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Certificate IV or Diploma qualification in Aged Care or a related field (or working towards, willing to obtain, or equivalent transferable experience)
* Commitment to the CRCS Vision, Purpose and Values of care, respect, honesty, optimism and resilience
* Experience leading and supporting a team, including providing feedback and performance guidance
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with participants, families, colleagues and stakeholders
* Understanding of CHSP and other community service delivery guidelines (or the ability to quickly learn)
* Experience maintaining compliance with quality standards, legislation and reporting requirements
* Ability to support staff with systems and processes and ensure accurate data and documentation
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, priorities and resources effectively
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety responsibilities and safe work practices
Responsibilities
In this exciting and important role you will enjoy undertaking the following responsibilities:
Leading, recruiting, training and supporting a team of Community Transport Drivers
Coordinating transport services to meet participants’ medical, wellbeing and community participation needs
Overseeing service administration including reporting, billing, service agreements and data integrity
Managing fleet operations, vehicle safety and transport systems
Building strong partnerships with participants, advocates and key stakeholders
Monitoring service delivery to ensure compliance with program requirements and quality standards
Managing feedback, incidents and continuous improvement processes
Supporting operational planning, financial processes and end-of-month reporting
Ensuring safe work practices, risk management and accurate documentation across the service
CRCS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young children and young people. As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, we require all employees to undergo relevant screening processes, including Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) checks and National Police Checks.
CRCS also requires all employees to:
Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
