Our Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Amberly Park World of Learning to produce high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 58 children each day.
This position is part-time, 30 hours per week.

Your role
* Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks that are healthy, varied, and appealing to young children
* Ensure all food is stored, handled, and served safely, following all relevant food safety regulations
* Ensure menus meet the dietary needs of the children, including any allergies or cultural requirements
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including managing food and equipment inventory
* Collaborate with educators to support the overall health and well-being of the children

Our Requirements
* Experience cooking in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting
* Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety regulations
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to professional development
* Must hold:
o A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification with experience as a cook
o A current Working with Children's Check and First Aid certification
o Willingness to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
