Position Objective

By stewarding the behind-the-scenes details—from preparing weekend spaces to supporting team communication—you'll help make space for children to encounter Jesus in meaningful ways. Your contribution empowers leaders, strengthens families, and ensures every child is met with care, creativity, and consistency.
Job Title: Kids Administration Support
Hours: Part-Time 15.2 Hours/week (Mon & Wed but preferably Mon, 0.5 Wed and 0.5 Sun)
Reports To: Brisbane Kids and Families Pastor
Work Location: Hope Centre Brisbane Campus, 35 Thompson Street Bowen Hills Q 4006
Position Specific Responsibilities
Weekend Resource Management: Supports the preparation and resourcing of weekend children's programs to ensure smooth and engaging experiences. This may include:
* Resetting rooms and updating folders for Sunday services
* Managing storeroom inventory and craft supplies
* Printing curriculum and preparing craft materials
Team Coordination & Communication: Assists in the organisation and communication of team logistics to support a well-functioning volunteer base, including:
* Assisting with roster planning
* Communicating with the Kids Team on behalf of the Children's Pastor
* Sending welcome emails and onboarding new team members
Community Program & Pastoral Administration: Provides administrative support for community-based children's programs and pastoral care initiatives. Key activities may include:
* Managing admin for community programs such as Mainly Music
* Coordinating baby baskets and related care packages
* Supporting pastoral care follow-up and documentation
Core Support Role Responsibilities
* Empower ministry leaders to shepherd and support those within your ministry, with the primary aim to help every person develop and flourish in their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 20:28).
* Provide pastoral care to those belonging to the ministry you support when appropriate, liaising with your ministry leader when necessary.
* Be responsible for any rostering, communication, and general care of any teams assigned to you, ensure they have everything they need to serve well.
* Steward budgets and finances of the ministry you support within the guidelines and processes outlined by the Hope Centre Finance Team.
* Steward physical resources (such as rooms, vehicles and other equipment) associated with the ministry you support
* Participate in all location team meetings and events
* Collaborate with other support team members to share and develop ideas and methods which help support Hope Centre ministries function more effectively and efficiently

The Person We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who brings a proactive and reliable presence to the team – someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to help ministry run smoothly and effectively. You'll need to be confident in administrative tasks, with experience in platforms like Planning Center Online and Mailchimp considered an advantage. Familiarity with children's ministry curriculum is also beneficial. You'll need to be a team player who communicates well, solves problems independently, and is willing to learn new systems and processes. A current Blue Card is required for this role, reflecting our commitment to creating safe environments for children and families.
