The Team Our Custodial Youth Justice team supports young people in a safe and secure custodial environment at Ashley Youth Detention Centre (AYDC) in Deloraine, Northern Tasmania. A safe environment is critical for the healthy development and rehabilitation of young people in a youth justice detention centre. All young people, workers - including Ashley Youth Detention Centre (AYDC) staff, teachers, nurses, service providers and contractors - all need to feel safe at all times while on the site. A critical component of that safety is security. About the Role As a Safety and Security Officer you will support and maintain the safety and security of AYDC by controlling access to the centre, screening for contraband, monitoring surveillance cameras and managing personal security equipment.
