Livestock Area Sales Manager – Far North Queensland
Virbac Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Livestock Area Sales Manager to join our team, focusing on the vibrant and diverse Far North Queensland territory such as Townsville.
This full-time role is integral to driving business growth across one of Australia's most unique agricultural landscapes. We are seeking a highly driven, self-motivated professional who understands the northern cattle industry and is ready to deliver results in line with our national strategies.
You will be the driving force behind achieving the territory's sales targets by building and maintaining deep partnerships with our distribution channels, rural resellers, and influential figures across the Far North Queensland livestock sector.
What You'll Be Accountable For:
* Drive Regional Growth: Meet and exceed annual gross sales targets for the Far North Queensland territory.
* Localised Strategy: Implement marketing campaigns tailored specifically to the Northern livestock market—understanding the seasonal shifts and production systems unique to the tropics.
* Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain enduring relationships with key livestock accounts, veterinary clinics, and rural resellers from the Cassowary Coast to the Gulf Country.
* Brand Ambassadorship: Provide exceptional service to solidify Virbac's image as a trusted leader in animal health within the Queensland industry.
* Market Intelligence: Deliver insightful reports on regional competitor activity, emerging opportunities, and strategic suggestions for growth in the North.
To Be Successful in this Role, You Will Have:
* Industry Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a sales-related role, with a strong preference for candidates with Animal Health or Rural Agribusiness experience.
* Proven Track Record: A verifiable history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Regional Expertise: A solid understanding of the livestock industry and animal health market, including the unique challenges and opportunities of Far North Queensland (e.g., intensive production systems, tropical parasite management, and northern grazing).
* Negotiation Skills: Excellent abilities focused on building mutually beneficial relationships and successfully closing deals.
* Tech Savvy: Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Qualifications: Relevant industry qualifications are required. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or Business are highly desirable.
* On-the-Road Ready: A genuine willingness to travel regularly throughout the FNQ territory is essential to support our remote and regional partners.
