Support Teacher Assistant
This is a temporary part-time position with the possibility of extension. You will be required to work closely with and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in various areas including literacy, numeracy, and cultural initiatives.
About You
* Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
* Be from an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
* Have the ability to support the literacy and numeracy needs of students and/or cultural initiatives
* Have good communication skills and be comfortable with Aboriginal community liaison
* Be flexible in independently attending various schools and able to adapt to a variety of working conditions
Requirements
* Previous experience in similar settings
* Certificate III in School Support or equivalent
* Experience in educational settings such as schools and classrooms
* Ability to interact positively with students
Working with Children Clearance: This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment.
