Position Highlights

The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.

This full-time, permanent role is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 27 January 2026. The Assistnat Leader of Learning - English position is a 1-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.

About You

As the Assistant Leader of Learning - English, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

* create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
* demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach English. The ability to teach English Extension 1 is advantageous
* utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
* employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
* support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
* demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
* integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.

You will have attained:

* a tertiary qualification in Education
* eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
* Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
