The Role
As a Chef Supervisor or Head Chef, you'll take charge of kitchen operations across remote sites, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. This is a leadership role where you'll guide your team, develop menus, and create inclusive dining environments that support people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations on site
* Ensure all food production meets HACCP and operational safety standards
* Mentor and develop team capability while fostering inclusivity
* Design menus and meal plans that meet dietary and cultural requirements
* Maximise stock utilisation and maintain cost-effective operations
* Work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and service quality
About You
* Full working rights in Australia
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial kitchen
* Strong function and menu development skills
* Proficient computer skills for planning and reporting
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Able to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and national police clearance
* Flexible and resilient to thrive in a FIFO/DIDO roster environment
