The Role
We are looking for an Account Executive with a positive attitude and a passion for problem‑solving to join our Sales Team.
You Will
- Lead the charge in introducing Square to SMB merchants in Australia.
- Oversee the sales cycle from prospect to close and partner with other teams to ensure successful onboarding.
- Close inbound leads and generate leads via cold calling, marketing leads, and referrals to exceed quarterly sales goals.
- Maintain high sales activity and consistently meet call volume and pipeline targets.
- Understand customer goals and approach each conversation with a consultative approach.
- Use value‑selling methodology and tailor pitches or demos based on discovery.
- Partner with Onboarding, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure our solutions meet market needs.
- Use prior sales experience to inform a creative go‑to‑market strategy.
You Have
- 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role.
- Experience or an interest in helping SMB sellers.
- Growth mindset and structured thought process.
- Ability to gather support from internal experts and external partners.
- Genuine curiosity and passion for people and business.
- Interest in implementing feedback and dedication to improvement of your craft.
- Tenacity and ability to adapt to new situations quickly.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Great time management skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Drive deals independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Outreach experience (hunting, cold calling).
- Collaborative and team‑player mentality.
- Prior Salesforce experience or equivalent.
