Program Background
Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) supports the implementation of the Australian Government's climate change commitments under Australia's International Development Policy, aligning with partner government priorities.
CRC assists the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to increase climate investments, promote climate integration, and address climate change and disaster risk within Australia’s development portfolio.
It encourages funding for gender-responsive, inclusive climate and disaster resilience programs, especially in water, food, nature-based solutions, and energy sectors.
DFAT has engaged DT Global to support CRC through a Support Unit.

The Role
DFAT has mandated climate finance reporting across its development programs. This position will play a key role in helping programs meet their climate finance reporting obligations within the CRC portfolio.
The Climate Finance Data Analyst will support DFAT’s climate finance accounting and reporting, including:
1. Supporting climate finance accounting and reporting for Australian Government and international agreements
2. Compiling and analyzing climate finance data
3. Enhancing systems to track and report climate finance
4. Assisting DFAT program managers with climate integration and reporting

About You
Applicants must be eligible for NV1 clearance as an embedded employee.
Essential Experience and Knowledge
* Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
* Experience in public financial management, data analysis, quality assurance, and reporting
* Experience in climate or aid/development/grant finance accounting
* Proficiency with DFAT’s aid management system and high-level Excel expertise
* Attention to detail and sound decision-making in dataset evaluation
* Knowledge of and commitment to policies like GEDSI, Child Protection, PSEAH, environmental protection, anti-corruption, and safeguarding policies
